Mr.Lambert grew up in a small town in Michigan.
His hometown had three stoplights, mountains of snow, and a public library filled with books.
Snowed in for weeks at a time, with a pile of library books close at hand, Mr. Lambert dreamt of traveling the world to discover all that his tiny hometown couldn't offer.
He went to college in the big city of Chicago and studied ancient languages (he can read Greek and Hebrew, but doesn't very often).
After college, he studied for three more years (this time in Florida where there is no snow) and earned a Master's Degree in theology.
Along the way, Mr. Lambert enjoyed a few adventures (or, took a lot of silly risks, depending on how you look at it). He has encountered up close and has miraculously survived elephants, dingoes, anaconda, piranha, sharks, kangaroos, emu, mustangs and bears.
Mr. Lambert met his wife on a blind date, and knew right away he wanted to marry her, so he wrote to her letter after letter after letter to win her heart. (See, writing can get you what you want). Mr. Lambert has been married for 19 years, and has two daughters.
When he is not doing other things (like teaching a class or escaping a dangerous wild animal of some sort), Mr. Lambert writes. He writes poetry, essays, and children's books. Occasionally, he even gets published.
Mr. Lambert loves Charlotte, is thrilled to be at Independence High School, and still hates snow.
